RecoverM8 Setup

RecoverM8 is now distributed via a setup program, similar to other Windows programs. RecoverM8 is distributed in two types of files, a setup executable and a zipped setup executable (rm8-setup.exe and rm8-setup.zip).

RM8-SETUP.EXE: Double click on rm8-setup.exe to start the install program.

RM8-SETUP.ZIP: First, extract the setup program from the zipped archive. Second, double click on rm8-setup.exe to start the install program.

When RecoverM8's setup is complete, load AutoCAD and launch the Options command.

Select the files tab.

Expand the "Support File Search Path".

Pick the "Add" button.

Enter the path where you had the setup program install RecoverM8.

Pick OK to close the Options dialog box.

You are now ready to load RecoverM8.

You can load RecoverM8 via AutoCAD's Appload command or you can load it manually:

To load manually, enter this from the AutoCAD command line: (load "recoverm8.vlx")

To run RecoverM8, type RM8.
